Mission

Mentoring Nextgen Scientists

At KrebsNeumann, our mission is to mentor and cultivate the next generation of aspiring scientists. We build this mission on three core pillars: hands-on research experience, scientific leadership, and entrepreneurship.

Inspiration

Hans Krebs was a German-born British biochemist renowned for his discovery of the Krebs cycle (also known as the citric acid cycle or tricarboxylic acid cycle), a critical metabolic pathway in cellular respiration that generates energy by oxidizing nutrients. He was awarded the Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine in 1953. His research fundamentally advanced our understanding of how cells convert food into usable energy, a process essential to all aerobic life. Krebs' discovery provided crucial insights into cellular metabolism, influencing fields from physiology to medicine and bioenergetics. His work laid the foundation for later advances in molecular biology and biochemistry, impacting areas such as cancer research and metabolic disorders. 

John von Neumann was a Hungarian American mathematician, physicist, and computer scientist. He made foundational contributions to many fields, including mathematics, quantum mechanics, economics, and computer science. He is especially famous for developing the architecture that underpins most modern computers—the von Neumann architecture—which describes a system where data and programs are stored in the same memory. This innovation paved the way for the development of the digital computer and modern computing as we know it. Beyond computing, von Neumann contributed to game theory, functional analysis, and the Manhattan Project during World War II.

Research 

Students

We offer summer and long-term research opportunities for students with a strong background in life sciences and healthcare. High school, undergraduate, and graduate students are encouraged to apply by submitting their CVs. Compensation will be determined based on research experience.

Scientists

We invite experts from a broad range of STEM and translational medicine fields—including Immunology, Oncology, Neuroscience, Computational Medicine, Data Science, and Artificial Intelligence—to contribute. Projects should align with diagnostic or therapeutic pipelines. Candidates must have recent publications or patents demonstrating their expertise.

Innovators

Expanding translational activities is at the heart of KrebsNeumann’s mission. Developing bioinformatics and P4 Medicine pipelines—and successfully integrating them into clinical practice—is a complex but vital endeavor. Let’s collaborate to explore fundraising avenues and clinical opportunities that can drive these innovations forward.
